# Privacy

## The short version

There are no accounts here, no sign-ups, and no advertising. What this site stores is almost entirely about content — published blog posts — not about visitors. Analytics is optional and runs only on production builds when a measurement ID is configured.

## What we store

- The text, title, author, and dates of publicly published posts, kept privately for search and answers. Public pages show only short excerpts and a link to the original.
- Machine-written summaries, takeaways, and topic tags for those posts.
- The questions visitors type into Ask, kept to answer them, watch costs, and catch abuse. Please do not put personal information in a question.
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for operating and securing the site.

## Third parties

Answering questions and writing summaries uses third-party model providers such as OpenRouter. They receive the text of public posts, or a visitor’s question, and nothing that identifies the visitor. No visitor data is sold, and none is shared with advertisers.

When enabled, Google Analytics receives standard usage and device information under Google’s own privacy policy. It is disabled when no production measurement ID is configured.

## Your choices

Source owners can have their posts removed at any time via [get in touch](https://github.com/vincentri). Visitors can ask for a stored question of theirs to be deleted the same way.

If what we store ever changes in a way that matters, this page will say so, with the date above showing the current version.
