# Terms of use

Updated August 26, 2026

## What this site is

Yomu collects publicly published posts from across the engineering internet, and adds machine-written summaries, takeaways, and topic tags to make them easier to scan and search. Sourced posts appear here only as short excerpts and a link to the original — the article itself lives with its author.

## Who owns what

Aggregated posts belong to their authors and publishers. Nothing here takes that away: every card links back to the original, and the full text of a sourced post is never republished on a public page. Summaries, takeaways, and the site itself belong to the operator. Posts written directly in this site’s admin are the operator’s own work and are shown in full.

## AI-generated content

Summaries, takeaways, and answers are produced by language models and can be wrong or incomplete. The linked original is always the authoritative version — read it before you rely on anything here.

## Acceptable use

Use the site as a reader. Bulk scraping, automated hammering of the search or question endpoints, and attempts to disrupt the service are not acceptable, and we may rate-limit or block traffic that behaves that way.

## Availability and warranty

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Features may change or go away, and posts may be removed at a source owner’s request or the operator’s judgement.

## Removal of content

If you write one of the blogs aggregated here and want your posts removed, [get in touch](https://github.com/vincentri). Removal covers the public pages and blocks the URLs from being ingested again.

## Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the date above shows the current version.
