Anthropic is offering Claude for Enterprise and Claude for Government to all three branches of the U.S. government for $1, removing cost barriers to AI adoption. The offer builds on Claude’s addition to the GSA schedule and supports FedRAMP High workloads for sensitive unclassified data. Government partners already using Claude include the Department of Defense, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory with 10,000 daily users, and the District of Columbia Department of Health. The package includes frontier models with continuous updates and technical support for one year, with coordination underway with GSA for implementation. This expanded access aims to accelerate AI adoption across the federal government for scientific research, national security, and constituent services.

Anthropic opened a new office in Singapore, its fifth in Asia-Pacific, and signed an MOU with the Singapore Ministry of Digital Development and Information on AI safety, security, and model evaluation. The MOU, signed by co-founder Ben Mann and Permanent Secretary Kai Fong Chng, also covers research on AI adoption and responsible use across public and private sectors. Claude already powers services used by millions daily through organizations like GovTech, DBS, Grab, and Sea; Grab’s BriX assistant saves 40,000 hours quarterly. Singapore ranks second globally in Claude.ai usage relative to population, at nearly six times expected levels, and over 1,500 GovTech engineers use Claude Code. The office is hiring and plans technical exchanges, AI skills strengthening, and support for small and medium businesses.

Anthropic launched Claude Frontier Academy with a $100 million commitment to train 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. The program addresses the talent gap in enterprise AI implementation, where skilled engineers are scarce. The Frontier Deployed Engineer Residency follows a medical model: engineers learn from practitioners, work on simulated enterprise deployments covering use case selection, security review, and handover, and are assessed on a graded practical before earning credentials. First cohorts include engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk, with cohorts running in San Francisco, New York, and London. The program starts with a multi-day in-person session with Anthropic engineers and licensed instructors and continues with a 12-week residency where engineers lead a real Claude use case at their organization, supported by Anthropic engineers, with the first FDE badges expected in early 2027.
