### [Audit Your Auth0 Tenant with Auth0 Agent Skills](https://yomu.fyi/post/audit-your-auth0-tenant-with-auth0-agent-skills.md)

Auth0 Agent Skills addresses the gap between generic AI coding agents and a tenant’s live Auth0 configuration, plan entitlements, and deployed application settings. Its Auth0 HealthCheck skill uses Auth0 CheckMate to scan security and configuration hygiene, assess capability and plan fit, and produce confidence-weighted scores, prioritized findings, reports, and upgrade guidance. Using the Auth0 CLI, the skill authenticates locally, creates or reuses a narrowly scoped CheckMate machine-to-machine application, and queries the Management API from the developer’s environment. Remediation follows a developer-in-control flow: the skill fetches current settings, previews the proposed tenant-specific change and CLI command, requests explicit approval, then applies and verifies approved updates. The collection also provides framework quickstarts, B2B and B2C architecture guidance, debugging help, and configuration automation through Auth0 CLI, Terraform providers, and Vercel-native integrations.

### [Five Reasons Why Your Auth0 Permissions Are Not in your Access Token](https://yomu.fyi/post/five-reasons-why-your-auth0-permissions-are-not-in-your-access-token.md)

Auth0 access tokens can lack a permissions claim despite apparently configured RBAC, and the post identifies five silent causes. The authorization request may omit the API audience, the API’s “Add Permissions in the Access Token” setting may be disabled, or a permission-bearing role may not be assigned to the user, including at the relevant organization level. Developers may also be decoding an ID token rather than the API access token, whose aud identifies the API. Client Credentials tokens represent applications rather than users and typically carry granted scopes instead of a permissions array. For custom Post-Login claims, the post advises using a namespaced claim rather than colliding with Auth0’s reserved permissions claim.

### [How to Make Your AI Agent Enterprise-Ready: Enabling Enterprise-Managed Authorization for Client Apps in Auth0](https://yomu.fyi/post/how-to-make-your-ai-agent-enterprise-ready-enabling-enterprise-managed.md)

Auth0 is launching Early Access for Client App, or Requesting App, capabilities that support Cross App Access (XAA) for AI assistants, developer tools, and autonomous agents. In the Enterprise-Managed Authorization (EMA) model, an employee’s corporate SSO login can authorize access to external APIs or Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers through the IETF Identity Assertion Authorization Grant (ID-JAG) draft specification. Auth0’s Token Vault brokers the multi-hop exchange: it stores an upstream enterprise refresh token, retrieves a short-lived ID-JAG, exchanges it with the downstream Resource App, and returns a standard access token to the backend. Setup uses dashboard toggles and connection settings, followed by a standard /oauth/token federated exchange, while the API requires no XAA-specific changes. The release also describes audit logging, enterprise IdP policy control, OIN distribution, and caching downstream tokens because ID-JAG exchanges are rate-limited to 50% of the tier’s standard Auth API limit.

### [Type-Safe Authentication in Rust with Auth0 and Axum](https://yomu.fyi/post/type-safe-authentication-in-rust-with-auth0-and-axum.md)

CLI applications cannot use a standard browser redirect OAuth login flow when no browser or redirect URL is available, so the tutorial uses OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Flow. It builds an end-to-end Rust workspace containing a CLI, a shared auth-lib crate, and an Axum API configured with Auth0. The CLI requests a device code, displays a verification URL and user code, polls for an ID token and access token, then sends the access token as a Bearer credential. The API middleware fetches JWKS, selects the key matching the JWT’s kid, validates RS256 signatures plus issuer and audience claims, and deserializes strongly typed UserClaims. With valid claims, a protected route returns a message and subject; otherwise the extractor returns an unauthorized response.

### [Okta Developer Connect San Francisco 2026 Recap](https://yomu.fyi/post/okta-developer-connect-san-francisco-2026-recap.md)
- Company: [Okta](https://yomu.fyi/company/okta.md)

- Type: Announcement

Okta Developer Connect San Francisco brought more than 100 developers, architects, founders, platform engineers, and security leaders to Okta HQ for technical sessions, hands-on labs, and community conversations about securing identity in the age of AI. The keynote announced general availability of Okta for AI Agents, which provides discovery, shadow AI detection, short-lived credentials, scoped tokens, vaulted secrets, MCP server controls, lifecycle governance, SIEM audit logs, and a kill switch. Sessions examined Cross App Access, using identity assertion and token exchange across a requesting app, identity provider, and resource app, plus Auth0-based patterns including Token Vault, asynchronous authorization, and fine-grained access control. Discussions described agents outpacing governance, static credentials creating risk, and RAG pipelines requiring data-layer permissions that match user access. The event concluded that builders should treat agents as identities with ownership, scope, review, consent, and revocation designed before integrations go live.
