## Explanation

Audience Intelligence is the architecture that turns scattered public and behavioral signals into decisions about who to reach and when. It has four layers: capture, where social mentions and product events arrive; storage and modeling, where events land in a columnar store or a pre-trained relational model reasons over existing tables; interpretation, where sentiment, share of voice, and forecasts are produced; and activation, where segments drive content timing or agent tools. Broader capture adds noise, longer retention adds storage, and heavier models add latency, so the layer boundaries decide whether a question takes seconds or a weekend of manual cleanup.

## FAQ

### Why separate the storage layer from the interpretation layer?

Because retention and query speed change on a different schedule than the analysis logic. OpenReplay moved behavioral events from Postgres to ClickHouse and used one TTL setting to end manual retention cleanups, while materialized views cut pipeline change time from two days to half a day. Keeping interpretation above the store lets you swap either side without rewriting the other.

Langfuse is an open-source platform whose Observability plugin captures Cursor agent traces, including model calls, tool executions, and token usage, with each prompt creating a “Cursor Turn”. ClickHouse powers Langfuse v4 analytics with a wide observations table storing user, session, tags, and environment, avoiding joins for team-wide cost and latency aggregations. To set up, create a Langfuse project, install the plugin from the Cursor Marketplace, place API keys in a config file, and restart Cursor. Each trace contains LLM observations with conversation history, tool observations for Shell, Read, and MCP actions, nested subagent observations, and context compaction events, all grouped into sessions. Teams use dashboards to find expensive turns, create project rules, build datasets from real sessions, and apply evaluators (LLM-as-a-judge, human review) to compare cost and completion before deploying, with CI via a GitHub Action.

OpenReplay is a self-hosted session replay and product analytics platform that helps developers reproduce bugs by showing them exactly what a user did. The team replaced Postgres with ClickHouse to handle billions of behavioral events per day, using a single TTL setting to end weekend-long manual retention cleanups and dropping session search times from up to 10 seconds to about one second. Materialized views in ClickHouse reduced the time to modify data pipeline transformations from two days to half a day by centralizing logic that once required separate Go workers. The largest customers run a single vertically scaled ClickHouse instance ingesting up to 6 TB daily, with sub-second queries enabled by a query cache. The database schema consists of two main tables, and native JSON support allows custom events to be inserted and queried as columns for funnels, heat maps, and flow charts.

NVIDIA Kumo Relational is a pre-trained relational foundation model that makes predictions directly on enterprise databases without requiring task-specific training, feature engineering, or table flattening. Given a predictive query, it gathers up to 10,000 historical examples as context and produces outcomes such as churn or demand in a single forward pass. Across 41 tasks on 15 databases, it outperforms supervised relational deep learning models and gradient-boosted tree pipelines; on the SAP SALT benchmark it surpasses AutoGluon ensembles by 8% in mean reciprocal rank. The model scales to databases with over 500 billion rows and is available through NVIDIA’s open-source structured-data-models library or as an NVIDIA NIM. It reasons within tables using column and row attention and across tables using graph attention over foreign keys, avoiding quadratic cost.

Halloween marketing now spans months, with US spending forecast to reach $13.5 billion in 2026, up from $13.1 billion in 2025. Brandwatch data shows 4.83 million public online mentions of Halloween in the month before October 20, 2026, a 16% increase year-over-year, with unique authors around 1 million. 74% of US consumers plan to celebrate, and 49% begin shopping in September or earlier, a behavior that has become established since 2016 when only 34% shopped early, partly due to affordability concerns. Effective strategies include joining conversations early, as seen with Michaels’ Hobbyween launch in August, tapping into horror and gaming fandoms like Fortnite’s Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover, and providing DIY tutorials that turn inspiration into action. Brands should choose a niche that aligns with their identity, such as Pokémon’s character-led Halloween collection, and create shareable experiences like Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.

It is a Leader in four categories: Brand Intelligence, Media Monitoring, Audience Intelligence Platforms, and Marketing Account Intelligence, validated by verified user reviews and market presence. The platform also received Momentum Leader badges in Social Media Listening Tools, Social Media Analytics, and Brand Intelligence, plus 13 Regional Leader badges across Spain, India, Asia, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. G2 rankings are based solely on verified user evaluations and market indicators; only 2% of listed vendors achieve a Leader badge, and additional badges include Highest User Adoption and Fastest Implementation in the Mid-Market segment, indicating strong team usage and quick deployment. The platform analyzes over 100 million online sources, with data since 2010, image analysis for logos and scenes, and Iris AI for natural language queries.

Social listening is the process of extracting data from social media and forums about a brand, industry, or topic, then analyzing that data to identify trends and valuable insights. Businesses such as B2C, B2B, nonprofits, and government agencies can use it to understand customer sentiment, benchmark competitors, and guide marketing or product strategy. The example of Ben & Jerry’s discovering that bad weather drives ice-cream cravings illustrates how combining social data with other sources reveals unexpected consumer behavior patterns. Dedicated tools like Brandwatch Analytics are preferred over basic alternatives like Google Alerts because they provide deeper analysis of mentions, sentiment, demographics, and competitive share of voice. Success requires defining clear goals first, filtering out noise (for example, by narrowing keyword queries), and continuously monitoring for new products, competitors, or memes that could distort results.
