Meet HoloTab by HCompany. Your AI browser companion.
Summary
HoloTab is a Chrome extension that brings HCompany’s computer-use AI into the browser. It navigates websites, fills fields, and makes decisions from a user’s description, with vision models, action planning, and interface understanding operating underneath without setup or technical skills. The announcement follows the March 31st release of Holo3, described as the company’s most advanced computer-use model to date. For repetitive workflows, users can record their actions and narration in a tab; HoloTab turns the recording into a routine that can later be rerun or scheduled. The stated goal is to make computer-use AI accessible beyond teams with engineers who can connect such systems, and the extension is presented as free and available for everyone today.
Context
The stated motivation is to make computer-use AI accessible to people without a technical background, rather than limiting its benefits to teams with engineers who can wire these systems together. HoloTab is also intended for long, repetitive browser tasks such as comparing prices or collecting job listings.
Approach / What changed
HoloTab runs as a Chrome extension and accepts natural-language task descriptions. It navigates interfaces, fills fields, and makes decisions using vision models, action planning, and interface understanding. Its routines feature records a user’s screen actions and narration in real time, then generates a reusable routine that can be rerun or scheduled.
Takeaways
HoloTab is designed to automate tasks across websites with zero setup or technical skills required.
A recorded routine combines the user’s tab activity and narration, giving HoloTab context about the task’s goal before it generates a reusable workflow.
The extension is described as free and ready for everyone to use today.
