Irina Ghose named Managing Director of India
Anthropic has appointed Irina Ghose as Managing Director of India as it prepares to open its first office in the country. Ghose brings more than three decades of experience scaling technology businesses and most recently led Microsoft India, where she drove enterprise AI adoption across banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and government. In her new role, she will help grow teams, engage policymakers and academic institutions, strengthen developer engagement, and build partnerships with enterprises and organizations addressing local challenges, with an emphasis on local insight, trust, safety, and long-term impact. India is Claude.ai’s second-largest market globally, and Anthropic says nearly half of usage there is concentrated in computer and mathematical tasks, according to its fourth Economic Index.
Anthropic partners with the UK Government on GOV.UK
Anthropic has been selected by the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to help build and pilot a dedicated AI-powered assistant for GOV.UK. The assistant will initially support people entering or re-entering the workforce by helping them find work, access training, understand available support and resources, and route them to relevant services. Powered by Claude, the agentic system is designed to provide individually tailored guidance, maintain context across interactions, and let users control what data is remembered or opt out; personal information will be handled under UK data protection law. Using DSIT’s “Scan, Pilot, Scale” framework, the partners will test and iterate the assistant before wider rollout, building government expertise to maintain it independently.
ServiceNow chooses Claude
ServiceNow has selected Claude as the default model for ServiceNow Build Agent and as a preferred model across the ServiceNow AI Platform. Build Agent uses natural-language prompts to help professional coders and citizen developers create applications, design and test agentic automations, while enterprise controls provide access controls, usage monitoring, visibility, and compliance. ServiceNow is also deploying Claude and Claude Code across its workforce of more than 29,000 employees: a Claude-powered sales coaching tool has cut preparation time by up to 95% in testing, while technical teams use Claude Code for coding, reviews, debugging, and repetitive tasks. The partnership targets a 50% reduction in customer implementation time and includes Claude-powered industry applications for healthcare and life sciences, where claims authorization could move from days to hours.
Apple’s Xcode now supports the Claude Agent SDK
Xcode 26.3 introduces a native integration with the Claude Agent SDK, bringing the same harness that powers Claude Code into Apple’s IDE for longer-running, autonomous coding work. Claude can receive a goal, inspect a project’s full file structure, determine which files to change, modify them, and iterate, while searching Apple’s documentation when it needs framework or API guidance. It can also capture Xcode Previews to visually verify SwiftUI interfaces, identify problems, and refine its implementation, and it supports subagents, background tasks, and plugins. The integration is additionally exposed through the Model Context Protocol, allowing Claude Code users to connect to Xcode and capture Previews from the CLI. Xcode 26.3 is available as a release candidate to Apple Developer Program members, with an App Store release coming soon.
Claude is a space to think
Anthropic says Claude will remain ad-free because advertising could conflict with its role as a helpful assistant for work, deep thinking, and sensitive conversations. It argues that ads could influence responses, introduce commercial motives that are difficult to distinguish from advice, or create engagement incentives misaligned with resolving users’ requests efficiently. The company’s stated business model relies on enterprise contracts and paid subscriptions, with revenue reinvested in Claude, while access efforts include education programs, nonprofit discounts, smaller models, and possible lower-cost or regional pricing. Claude will still support user-directed commerce and third-party tools such as Figma, Asana, and Canva, including potential agentic purchasing and booking; Anthropic says these interactions should be initiated by users rather than advertisers.
Anthropic raises $30B Series G at $380B valuation
Anthropic announces a $30 billion Series G led by GIC and Coatue, with participation from major investors, valuing the company at $380 billion post-money. It says proceeds will support frontier research, product development, and infrastructure expansion as demand for Claude grows among enterprises and developers. Anthropic reports $14 billion in run-rate revenue, more than 500 customers spending over $1 million annually, and eight of the Fortune 10 as customers. Claude Code’s run-rate revenue exceeds $2.5 billion, enterprise use accounts for more than half of its revenue, and an analysis estimated 4% of GitHub public commits. The company also points to Opus 4.6, expanded products including Cowork, and availability across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, with training and inference across Trainium, TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs.

The work combines Anthropic’s Claude models and Claude Code with Infosys Topaz, an AI-first set of services, solutions, and platforms, with an emphasis on governance and transparency for regulated industries. Using tools including the Claude Agent SDK, the partners plan to help clients build persistent agents for multi-step work such as claims processing, code generation and testing, compliance reviews, network operations, risk assessment, and legacy-system modernization. They also describe applications for product design and simulation, software debugging, and routine enterprise operations through Claude Cowork, while noting that Claude is available on Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure.
Partnering with Mozilla on Firefox security
Anthropic describes a collaboration with Mozilla in which Claude Opus 4.6 discovered 22 previously unknown Firefox vulnerabilities over two weeks, including 14 that Mozilla classified as high severity. The work began with reproducing historical Firefox CVEs, then shifted to novel bugs in the current codebase, starting with the JavaScript engine and eventually scanning nearly 6,000 C++ files. Anthropic and Mozilla submitted 112 unique reports, while most issues were fixed in Firefox 148; Claude also produced working exploits for two vulnerabilities in a deliberately weakened test environment. The post says Claude is substantially better at finding and fixing vulnerabilities than exploiting them, but warns that this gap may narrow and recommends evidence-rich reports, task verifiers, and coordinated disclosure processes.
$100 million for the Claude Partner Network
Anthropic is launching the Claude Partner Network to help organizations support enterprise adoption of Claude, backed by an initial $100 million investment for 2026. Partners receive a portal with Academy materials, sales playbooks, and co-marketing documentation, plus potential inclusion in a Services Partner Directory. New support includes dedicated Applied AI engineers, technical architects, localized go-to-market assistance, and the Claude Certified Architect, Foundations exam, with more certifications planned later this year. A Code Modernization starter kit targets legacy-code migration and technical-debt remediation, and membership is free and open to any organization bringing Claude to market.
An update on our election safeguards
Claude’s election safeguards are designed to provide accurate, balanced political information while preventing misuse around voting and political discourse. The approach combines character training, system prompts, pre-launch evaluations, automated classifiers, threat intelligence, and ongoing monitoring, with election banners directing users to trusted resources such as TurboVote and web search for current information. In reported tests, Opus 4.7 and Sonnet 4.6 scored 95% and 96% on political-bias evaluations, handled legitimate and harmful election requests appropriately 100% and 99.8% of the time, and resisted simulated influence operations 94% and 90% of the time, respectively. Web-search triggering for more than 600 US midterm prompts reached 92% for Opus 4.7 and 95% for Sonnet 4.6. The safeguards will continue to be monitored, tested, and adjusted during this election cycle and beyond.

Higher usage limits and a SpaceX compute deal
An agreement with SpaceX will give the company access to all compute capacity at the Colossus 1 data center, adding more than 300 megawatts and over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs within the month. Combined with other compute partnerships, the expansion supports higher usage limits: Claude Code five-hour limits double for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans, peak-hour reductions end for Pro and Max, and Claude Opus API limits rise considerably. The company says the new capacity will directly improve service for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers while it trains and runs Claude on AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs. It is also expanding inference capacity in Asia and Europe and exploring orbital AI compute with SpaceX.
Expanding access to safer AI with Amazon
Anthropic announces that Amazon will invest up to $4 billion and become its primary cloud provider for mission-critical workloads. The collaboration combines Anthropic’s frontier safety research and models with AWS infrastructure, including Trainium and Inferentia chips, while expanding Amazon Bedrock support for secure model customization and fine-tuning. Organizations will be able to use Claude 2 through Bedrock, including its 100,000-token context window, with examples spanning legal search, investment analysis, and travel recommendations; Lonely Planet reduced itinerary-generation costs by almost 80 percent after deployment. Amazon will take a minority stake, while Anthropic’s governance remains unchanged under the Long Term Benefit Trust and its Responsible Scaling Policy, including pre-deployment testing of new models.
Prompting Claude's long context window
An evaluation of Claude’s 100,000-token context window tests prompting techniques for recalling specific information from long documents. Researchers built randomized collages from sections of a July 13 government document, using Claude-generated multiple-choice questions and filtering out questions it could not answer from the source passage alone. They compared a baseline with unrelated examples, dynamically selected contextual examples, and two or five examples, each with or without a scratchpad that instructed Claude Instant 1.2 to extract relevant quotes across roughly 70K and 95K token contexts. Scratchpads and contextual examples generally improved performance, with more examples performing better, although recall could decline when the answer passage was at the end. For Claude 2, the best prompting strategy raised performance from 0.939 to 0.961, a reported 36% reduction in errors; reproducible code was released in the Anthropic Cookbook.
Anthropic partners with BCG
Anthropic announces a collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to give BCG customers around the world direct access to Claude and support enterprise AI deployments. BCG will advise customers on strategic AI applications and help deploy Anthropic models, including Claude 2, across use cases such as knowledge management, market research, fraud detection, demand forecasting, report generation, and business analysis. The partnership is grounded in responsible AI, with Anthropic citing Constitutional AI and a shared focus on helpful, honest, harmless, safer, and more reliable systems. BCG has also used Claude within its own teams and previously worked with Anthropic, including at the United Nations, while the companies say their goal is to align business impact with ethical deployment.
Releasing Claude Instant 1.2
Claude Instant 1.2 is available to businesses through an API as a faster, lower-priced model for casual dialogue, text analysis, summarization, and document comprehension. It incorporates strengths of Claude 2 in real-world use cases, producing longer, more structured responses, following formatting instructions better, and improving math, coding, reasoning, safety, quote extraction, multilingual capabilities, and question answering. Against Claude Instant 1.1, it scored 58.7% versus 52.8% on the Codex evaluation and 86.7% versus 80.9% on GSM8K, indicating gains on the reported math and coding measures. The release also reports less hallucination and greater resistance to jailbreaks in automated red-teaming, while developers can call the model through the API; pricing for developers is available separately.
Claude 2
Claude 2 is introduced as a new model with improved performance, longer responses, expanded coding, math, and reasoning capabilities, and access through both an API and the claude.ai beta website. It supports prompts of up to 100K tokens and can produce documents of a few thousand tokens, enabling work across hundreds of pages of technical documentation or a book. Reported results include 76.5% on the Bar exam multiple-choice section versus 73.0% for Claude 1.3, 71.2% on Codex HumanEval versus 56.0%, and 88.0% on GSM8k versus 85.2%. Anthropic says internal red-team evaluation found Claude 2 2x better at giving harmless responses than Claude 1.3, while acknowledging that jailbreaks remain possible and inappropriate outputs can occur. The API is offered to businesses at the same price as Claude 1.3, and the chat experience is available in the US and UK, with broader availability planned.
